I got my walk in, but it was half-hearted. Had a nice big salad, some roasted chickpeas, a bowl of cheesecake Greek yogurt with walnuts and mixed fruit - and I'm out for the night.

Do any of you like Iliza Schlesinger? I watched her 2018 Netflix standup routine last night. She cracks me up. She's backed way off of her party-girl slant these days - so it's sober-safe. She got engaged. Maybe that's it. Or maybe it's because she's an Elder Millennial (that's the name of the show) I would recommend it.

Now, what do I watch tonight? Probably just some NCIS and early to bed.

I hope everyone makes it through the night without a drink/drugs. No problem here. Not even a little tempted.

Hey Bim I recognize the name.....I haven't seen her stand up routine, but I think she's friends with one of our local radio shows; they've had her in the studio as a guest a few times

All the girls at work were hemming and hawing that it was a slow night and what a waste of a Saturday. And I was thinking how nice it was to be with all of them at work! Oh my I am really living on the other side. I was excited to go home to my cat, they were trying to plan where to get their goodies for the night after the shift ended. I'll admit, I stopped being excited about drugs about ten years ago, but not that long ago I'd be trying to keep up with them and going out. I am feeling my age authentically now, which is nice. The late thirties are strange. Lots of new aches and pains, but still feeling young. Caring way less about what people think or expect of me. Much more mindful. Much more Yin. Saturday night is just another great night with my cat.

Morning weekenders.

The sky is blue and the prospect of some outdoor activity is alive and well.

It was my birthday yesterday, 42 big ones, we cooked up a nice meal for lunch and I got a little present from Mrs and Mini Vman.
I had to blow out 6 candles (4 + 2)

Hope you all are having a great day.

Morning Weekenders! Looks like I was a bit optimistic yesterday when I thought spring had arrived. Cold front came so the wood burner was lit again yesterday evening. I took this as a sign to make this winter’s last batch of biltong (South African spiced dried meat, deeply steeped in tradition and somewhat similar to beef jerky, only much better)

I have some office work to tackle from home, and am having a hard time finding the inspiration needed to start. Making the biltong was one of the excuses I found.

Hope everyone will be having a fabulous Sunday.

Vinny, my post crossed yours. Many congratulations and wishing you a wonderful year (filled with sobriety and many other good things) to come.

I am 3 years ahead of you and agree, a birthday cake only has space for so many candles.

Any R/C aircraft enthusiast here? I'm not a huge fan but I think they are reallly cool. I'm taking my dad up to the annual 'Model Fest' show today.
