Welcome, Patterson. I admire your resolve. There will be other recreational opportunities when you're strong and fully confident in your sobriety.

I think netflix is the safer option this weekend...hope you are all safe and well...
Way to go Patterson! That takes a lot of willpower and determination. You got this!!

Thanks badgerden and Gilmer..

I'm still kind of in withdrawal...although I tapered before stopping a couple of days ago.

On the bright side...had I gone (and I would have) while I was still drinking like usual.
I would have inevitably.got trashed and embarrassed myself. I haven't met the family yet. Not the greatest first impression..lol 😸

Welcome to the weekender Patterson.
Withdrawal only lasts so long and you will be feeling better real soon.

Glad you are racking up the days Purps.

Always great to see activity on the weekender and lots of new names. Keep posting whether good or bad.

It's been a while now since we had a visit from Tetra, MB, Melki... guys

It's 06:26 which means it's coffee o clock.

Welcome and well done Patterson. The part about not wanting to make a first impression that way struck a chord with me.

Good on you too, Purps!

To all you Northern hemispherers, I fear the season might be turning. It has slowly been warming up a bit in my neck of the globe, and this morning we have thick rain cloud cover (summer rainfall area). I can’t wait for the spring bulbs (of which we planted lots past autumn) to start their show!

I hope everyone will be having a great relaxing Saturday, even if there might be some work to be done.

Good morning everyone,

It's 8.55am here and getting ready to go out for a bit of exercise, just a walk into town so nothing too strenuous!

Great stuff Purps, well done!

Welcome Patterson, things will get a little better as each day passes and well done for progress made so far.

Blackfoot would also like to say good morning to everyone, especially you Trach :

Welcome to Weekenders Patterson!

13 days, that's great Purps, the days are racking up.

They had a bird of prey centre at Dunrobin but like all self respecting avians (penguins excepted) they snubbed me en mass.

Morning Sao, good to see that you plucked up the courage to set foot near these creatures. I seem to remember your comment not too long ago on a topic somehow related to reality survival shows that you would “...be the first to go, picked off by a hawk or something”.

Sober Saturday morning. Excellent.

Big breakfast, I think I'll have a BLTA (avo) and then go for the beach walk. The smoke is supposed to be back tomorrow, but we've had a couple nice windy low pressure days and it's been good to be able to go out.. I really wish I had bought an air conditioner.

Day 3... 😻

Starting to feel alot better today. I actually got some real sleep last night which makes all the difference in the world.

I'm taking back all my empties this morning. Usually I would go right up the street and pick up a case or two. But I'm going to pick up some chicken to bbq tonight instead. It'll be nice to actually be sober enough to enjoy it.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Good day Weekenders. I love seeing these hawks!

Big storm going on, I don't think it'll get too bad, but the power flickered a bit. I don't believe my street is flooding but I haven't looked yet. If so I have to get my neighbor's car to higher ground. It's a tiny thing.

I was pretty productive this Saturday morning. Got things for the kitty, bought a couple of household things. This is all a good sign that I'm gearing up to get back to work. I can be much more creative when all my other ducks are in a row.

I have work all night, then again early tomorrow morning. Then I am supposed to spend the afternoon/evening with the BF. Hopefully it won't rain so we can do something fun outside.

Hanging in there....female issues that I need to ride out, thank goodness for good over-the-counter meds and a heating pad!

My sister thought of me when she saw this....I can't imagine why!
