I used to think that too but He never did. I got really mad then

Turns out He gave me a lot of tools tho - and He wanted me to use them and dig myself out.

took me way too many years to figure that out but I got there in the end - be smarter than me, sweetichick

Hm, I recognize this kind of thinking. This is alcohol talking. If I told you the amount of times my brain went off on obsessive and irrational tangents while drinking it would boggle your mind, I was the master of obsession while drinking and the drinking just fed it and made it super crazy. I quit drinking to get my head screwed on straight and it did that better than it helped anything else. Sobriety is the best for logical thinking and working through emotion rationally.

You're all wrapped up in the drama of your ex, you'd be shocked how quickly the obsession would dissipate if you got sober for good.

Your post made a lot of sense. God helps those who help themselves. I like the analogy of digging yourself out.

Hi Delilah. I am feeling a little better. No more drinking. Spent the day watching tv to take my mind off things. Unfortunately it's after midnight and I am still awake. How are you going?
