Offensive Posts

Looks like someone took offense to one of my comments in a sleep problem thread which had to be deleted. I would like to first off apologize for the offensive comment although I seriously can't remember what it was at the moment. Secondly I have thoroughly enjoyed this forum immensely as there are many awesome folks here who I've enjoyed comments from that give their time, wisdom, and support to help addicts like myself achieve sobriety. With that said, I will gracefully bow out and wish you all much success through your journeys to sobriety. Keep ya heads up and focus on the goal which is a better and healthier lifestyle! You can do this!!

Peace to ya :thanks:truce:c023:

Why are you leaving? Please don’t go.

Obladi 08-10-2018 03:36 PM

What? No. Please stay.

Sent you a PM.

Leaving over a post pulled would be a massive over reaction BDTL.
Even I've had posts pulled - sometimes we all fall foul of the rules :)

Think about your recovery - it's got to be the most important factor here, yeah?

Don't leave BDTL :( Everyone makes mistakes we just have to learn from them and move on. I'm sure you would have heard from a mod if your post was that serious.

I have found your posts very helpful and supportive.

+1 on what Dee said!

I've had posts deleted too, it's no big thing. Don't go. :( I've enjoyed sharing your journey.

Thanks guys & gals. This is a really cool community with a truly caring bunch of mods and members alike. Keep on doing what ya

I'm a reviewer/tester on a golf forum and will be wrapping up work on a set of irons soon. This will keep me busy for several days so I'll check back in once I'm done. You folks have a great weekend and stay sober!

I'm glad you're staying, BDTL!

I have posted in the Men’s Room a few times by mistake. Just didn’t look at the forum.
Dee politely let me know what I had done.
Not saying I will never do it again.
But I am certainly more mindful of where my post will be going., and hope that I don’t do it again.
We have, most of us, had posts deleted for one reason or another.
How about taking it as lesson learned and read theough before you post. If it sounds off or snarky (I can be snarky.) then amend or don’t post, yeah?
Online support can be tricky, but with everyone’s help, we can navigate the shoals successfully.
Glad you have decided to stay.

This forum has already been too useful to me. I'm not leaving until they kick me off, lol!

BDTL - I agree with the others - we want & need you here. I've enjoyed sharing your journey - you matter to us. Please do come back!!

No way, you better stay around.

I've been there done that and in fact threatened to leave for a while as well. It's easy to let our passion for sobriety get ahead of us. The mods do a great job here need people like you to stay around.

Dee...HEY, DEE...how many times have you edited/warned/censored me in the five years I've been on here. I remember getting a one week vacation years ago. I remember getting an admonition just a week or two past.

Dee74 08-10-2018 10:19 PM

It's not a part of my job I like don't thinking about or reminiscing onTrach :)

seeing as BDTL is taking a break and we seem to be branching off into all kinds of tangents, I'll close this thread :)
