Day 5 the Turnaround

Day 5 the Turnaround
I feel so much better on day 5 than yesterday. I was very anxious yesterday, went home and rode 19 miles on bicycle with my wife. Felt more energy than in a long time. Picked up my guitar and relearning it as a beginner, sat on the deck and just learned and played.
Today, even though I slept better, still not good, but I feel energetic, I feel alive, I feel like I can conquer the world. What a great sober feeling.
My daughter is coming down this weekend, and I know she will want to have some drinks and it will be hard, but if what I am feeling now is sobriety, I never want alcohol again.
Still listening to the audio book, "This Naked Mind". Great help and just keeps my mind set straight.

I'm glad you're doing well.
One thing I do, to take care of myself, is to never have alcohol in my home. My home is a safe place for me. If you're going out with your daughter, I'd suggest staying away from places where alcohol is served. Put your sobriety first.
