That's neat, Bimini!

(of course, I went straight for the marine aquarium variety)

Haven't had an aquarium in years, busy with other endeavors.
Raising a baby red-tailed boa now.
She's a real sweetheart.
Hopefully, she still will be-
when she's 150lbs.

Morning weekenders!

Watching the weekend crowd roll out this morning, judging by the one cottages party last night, a few will be doing so with aching heads lol.

Last night I went to the garage to get a bowl of ice cream (chest freezer is in garage), darn it dh forgot to close the door and spilled charcoal briquettes all over the floor and, SNAKE! Just a 2ft long, very pretty garter... Mr Horsie, get the eff out here and help. We helped the snake out of the garage and I had the willes for the rest of the night lol

nice snakey snakey

The online jigsaw puzzles are quick - I try to do them fast, but some of the Puzzle of the Day ones I just look at and say, "Nope." I know I don't have the patience to spend 30 minutes on a 100 piece puzzle.

The easier ones do slow my brain down and cause me to focus on the breath.

Plus, I don't need a table or a place to put them when I'm finished - nor do I need six days of saying, "That piece isn't here!" I know no pieces are lost in online puzzles. *nods*

How long do those big pythons live? (before you release them into the Everglades...) JK. I know you wouldn't do that.

Anywhere from 10-30 years.
At least the Boa will be smaller than the Burmese, once fully grown.

Trivia-
Boas are "new-world" snakes; live-bearers.
Pythons are old-world snakes; egg layers.
I'm sure that enlightened everyone's day.

It actually did enlighten me. Interesting! I would like to have a snake.

Hm. Now the wheels are turning.

Naw. I would probably have trouble keeping it alive up here in the cold. Plus.....$$$

That 30 years piece is a bit intimidating, too. I won't be around that long...I don't think.

Good morning Weekenders! Getting ready to work brunch today. Somehow I never get tired of seeing everyone feel like crap on Sunday morning while I feel great. I mean I do feel empathy for them I just hold on to that petty victory. I would never say it out loud. I just enjoy noticing the positive differences. Yesterday my coworker was hung over until 10pm. The other day I was sleep deprived and exhausted from my breakdown and I still felt better than even my mild hang overs. It’s scary.

On that note I’m cruising around seeing that everyone is safe. This week has been a doozy. Lots of fallout. Lots of transformation. The universe is going to rain spiritual shrapnel on us during these times but, we have the insight to to change how we deal with it.

Bim-

Look into something more handleable and manageable.

*remember that the big 'uns have big teeth and eat big meals*

Corn snake
Milk snake
King Snake

Have a great day!

HUGS everyone! Made it through Friday and Saturday thanks to you all

Did you know: Slash has so many pet snakes! Back in the day when Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton were married, they bought a house from Slash & had it inspected to make sure there were no snakes left behind

At the mountains we used to have black snakes regularly hanging around the basement rafters, because they were attracted to the steady diet of stubborn mice who used to live there.

One day I was weeding near the house and found four of their eggs slightly underground. They were 1 1/2 inch off-white ovals, and the texture of their shells was leathery.

I did have to break them all, because we had remodeled and wanted to be rid of both mice and snakes.

I don’t know why—what else would I expect?—but I was surprised that they had albumen and a yellow yolk just like a bird egg!

I'm glad I'm not ophidiophobic any more! I was terrified of snakes as a child - in books, on TV, wherever - but taught myself not to be as an adult.

Happy Sunday! hope everyone is staying safe. hang in there anyone having a tough time - Kev, Venus - stay close
