Bought beer

Yesterday after the kids finished school i decided to buy a six pack.
I chose to wait till 5pm.
I then delayed again to the kids went to bed. And finally i decided not to drink any even though they were calling out to me.
I made the choice to buy them.
I also made the choice not to drink them.
I might have to give them away

Well done

Hi

I'm really pleased for you that you did not drink the beer. Alcohol is very seductive, we lose everything to it our health our happiness yet still it is a temptation.

I have been in the situation of wanting to give alcohol away yet some folks wouldn't take it. Makes me think they want me to stay a drunk.

I think to give away something to someone else that has done you such harm is immoral.

The best thing to do is to poor them down the sink.

Good luck

Don't take this lightly, Finalcall. You bought the beer because you were thinking of drinking. And you almost did.

Quit playing with fire. Step away from the computer. Pour the beer down the drain. Then come back here and tell us how much better you feel for having done it. Because you WILL feel better.

Dump 'em! I've actually found it therapeutic pouring bottles down the drain in that moment where I almost gave in to my av.

i'd take 'em out and go throw them hard at a tree. shake 'em a good 20 seconds first.

i do appreciate that you re-thought your purchase. now to figure out how to NOT buy beer/wine/booze EVER.

I made a similar ghost-purchase early in this, my final, round of sobriety. Almost like I watched myself do it. But I also made sure to throw the damned poison out. Something very meaningful in the purposeful action of throwing out the crap, as compared to the automaton decision to purchase.

Do the same! Let us know when you toss it.

Pour it down the sink and call it a lesson.

The beer has been put far away.
25 days sober today.
One at a time.
Whilst i was playing with fire i went to the pub for lunch with the wife. Drank coke and water.

I crave alcohol everyday but if i was to drink i would crave more when i have ran out...
Logically drinking makes no sense.
Actually for many reasons drinking makes no sense. Just some short term euphoria with long term consequences.
