I have been sober for nine months. It was just two days ago that i realized i was an alcoholic. I am so greatful to admit my truth and to have the opportunity to learn how to live!

It is quite relieving to come out of denial isn't it?

Great post!

Congratulations on nine months. Great work.
I had to re-learn how to live, too. I'm still learning after nine years, but I was drunk for over twenty five.
It took me years to admit I am an alcoholic and can never safely drink. Isn't great to admit that?
Best to you. Welcome, and looking to hear more from you on your journey.

It's very empowering and liberating to admit being an alcoholic. It's a critical, necessary step to take in order to realize and accept the reality that we can't ever drink again.

Well done on 9 months.
It takes some doing admitting it to yourself. It’s a relief when you do.
Means you can crack on with the necessary actions to live a peaceful life.

I am so relieved to be breaking down this wall of justification, explanation of intention, deceit and lies, that I have built over the years. How humbling and beautiful living is. It is amazing to finally know and understand that my obstacles and challenges in my life have not been the struggle, but the choice to not confront and feel the emotions associated with the challenges. Let the healing begin!
