17 days in
 

17 days today my longest time without a drink in easily a decade. Only 31...
As time goes by i hate the alcohol influenced me more and more. I can see where it has trapped me in a way of life that was never going to be happy.
It was just short term fix for long term problems allowing me to ignore important things in my life that need to be addressed. I never want to live that lifestyle again

COngrats on your sobriety. Based on your analysis of your situation, I think that attitude will take you a long ways. Alcohol masks real problems and steals from us. It is not needed for happiness. Quite the opposite.
