gaps in resume due to addiction/recovery
 

Good morning all
Im currently on the job market as my current job is a toxic environment and change is needed! Prior to about 5 years ago, I had a few large gaps in my employment, due to alcoholism and then the beginning stategs of recover. Has anyone had to deal with explaining these gaps on a resume and in interviews? I have had steady work, progressing in responsibility and title since then. Ihope everyone is enjoying a happy healthy day!

All you need to say is that you were in between careers. No ones business but yours :-)
