Woke up too early. It's 04h10...
My sobriety is the most important thing to me these days. It has become my little friend walking along beside me in everything I do.
I think I have developed an addiction to ice-cream and peaches followed by a secondary addiction to ice-cream and pears. Could be worse...

Is 04h10 too early for ice-cream ?

I will be in the office early this morning

Have a great friday weekenders.

Dance all you like Willow !
YAY an ice-cream museum !

I just wanted to share this with you, put it out there so to speak.
I was thinking after the world cup, now thats there's only one two matches left we could move on to the "TOUR DE FRANCE"

While we are observing the each stage there are also very nice aerial views and landscapes showing lots of nice animals which can be discussed by the animal lovers, me included

Yesterdays stage (6) was one by a fabulous young man called Dan MARTIN, Irish but born in Birmingham. His dad was a pro cyclist, Neil Martin and his mom was Stephen Roches (winner tour 1987) sister , Maria ROCHE.

Todays stage (7) brings the riders on 231 kms of flat terrain from Fougeres to Chartres :

Definitely an animal lover here. And an ice cream lover

I once cycled 35 km up and down hills and could hardly walk for 3 days.
Haven’t been tempted to cycle since for some reason

I bought a very good mountain/road cross bicycle- rode it everywhere...including the last day I rode ir 40 k's, to get assessments done for my car license reinstatement (lost it just under 5 yrs before, the cut off- because of seizures from going cold-t). I got my license back and bought a good, older car within the hour. My bike is now used to dry clothes on.

Years ago when I was not a recovering alcoholic with my alcoholic brother we once rented out bicycles on a holiday then got a taxi to bring us home with the bicycles in the trunk... We could have been in the trunk for all I knew...... Likewise I couldn't walk straight for 3 days after. (or maybe it was 3 weeks)

And we also have an indoor exercise bicycle as a coat hanger. Designer piece

I still have the bike I bought back in the mid 1980's for$400. (Lots of money back then). I put on 500k that first summer and had to have the wheels replace.

Ha ha ha ha. Thanks Badger and Dragon. The "weebles wobble" brought back memories! And yes, how many here are old enough to remember Romper Room??! And of course weebles. Oh wow. My little brother had a toy school bus that had weebles as the passengers. Wonder what ever happened to all that stuff? It was probably sold in a garage sale for $1 and now worth much more. So fun. Maybe I should call myself "Weeble" instead of LHW.

Never too early or late for ice cream with peaches. I've never tried it with pears, but it's now on my list. I really like vanilla ice cream with mangoes. You're welcome.

I rode a 135 mile charity bike ride once. It was right after I got divorced though; and I wasn't yet all that comfortable doing things alone. Granted, it was along with 200 other people, but still. It runs every year from Seattle to Vancouver, BC. Couple/three ferry rides, two overnights with camping, some San Juan Islands, and lots of beauty. Maybe I should do it again. A couple people did it on roller blades. That didn't look fun on the country back roads.

San Juan Islands

(no, I didn't see any Orcas, but you can't really say "San Juan Islands," without an Orca pic)

It's Friday. I won't be drinking this weekend. If you're struggling, stick close to this site. Make a plan for activities or house-cleaning or fixing a car or whatever. Just don't pick up that first drink or drug.
