It really is an amazing thing winning a world cup.
20 years ago I was living in Ireland with my then girlfriend (now wife) when France won in 98.
Thats 2 world cups now together...
Well done to Kevin Anderson effectively

Hi everyone, I made it through another weekend of temptation, it’s Monday morning here and I’ve a busy day ahead to keep the AV quiet
Purps it’s good that you’re back on board, I like your reading about listening to advice from people who have wisdom that’s how I see SR I can come here and post and read stories when things are getting tricky and the AV is up to it’s sneaky tricks. The beautiful people here have so much collective wisdom to share with us, but we need to really listen and heed their advice. I couldn’t do this new sober thing (which is so different from the life I’m used to) without the support of all the wise people here ❤️ You can do this Purps, just gotta find a new plan for the weekends, they’re my hardest times too, especially Fridays for me. Once I get to a hangover free Saturday morning it gets a bit easier xxx

However.....very happy for France. And the tennis was not a complete disappointment....and as always the presentation at Wimbledon is just lovely.
And it's fun to see all of the famous faces in the stands.
And lol bim....Serena is 36 and Venus is 38.....and is who my fluff got named after.

Good Morning all.
Nothing like a sober weekend and a Monday morning with a clear fresh head. It's 05:22 coffee time.
We had some friends around yesterday and there are lots of beers and wine and even a bottle of champagne in the fridge. AV fuel. Yuck.
Time to get rid of all that today.
Later weekenders.

Good grief! It is Monday morning already, where did the time go? Another of the many benefits of quitting drink is that for a long time the weekends seem to have a lot more hours in them in comparison to the drunken ones when I at least would spend the daytime recovering from the night before. I guess that effect is wearing off for me now but I won't be going back to drinking again.
A hell of a lot of falls in yesterdays stage 9 of the Tour.
Richie PORTE and Robert GESINK were among the most notable abandons.
Its tough for the australian Richie PORTE, who was in strong form for this tour, as he also crashed out on stage 9 last year with broken collar bone and damaged Pelvis.
Our best french hopes Romain BARDET and Warren BARGUIL are 17th and 18th.
