I was just venting I guess I know the Aussie thing is a stereotype but it’s more than that, it’s largely my family and friends culture. Most of them drink. A lot. I can do something about the friends, by not hanging out with them quite so much as it always involves drinking, whether at home or out (which I have been doing much less of as I’m trying to avoid temptation) and I’m working on cultivating some sober friendships. But my family are my family, and I love them dearly, I’m just finding it a bit challenging at the moment as there are several family birthdays this time of year and going to the pub is a bit of family tradition. Yes I can get coffee while they’re drinking beer and wine, but I quite like soda and cranberry juice or soda and lime too and coffee after that I know it will get easier, but it’s early days yet and the repeated challenges are just that... challenging!

So although there are still lots of boozy bbq s, there are a ton of people in Aus who don't drink or drink very little. So there's that. They are out there.

Well done Willow - and everyone here who is fighting for their lives.
It's Sunday, my favorite day. It's starting out with a faint peachy glow outside my window in front of me. I face East here at my computer. Serendipity, but a great way to greet and contemplate the oncoming fresh new day.
I went to my favorite beach yesterday and it was so hot I thought I would melt.
Of course, where I live we freak if it's over 70F or under 60, so there's that.

Morning all.
I love Sundays too, but that also means Monday soon. Just not enough hours in the weekend. Oh well. Todays goal: Hair Cut. We have a running joke at work, there was a young fellow who always seem to come in with a fresh hair cut the next day after calling in a sick day. The ribbing was that he needed a day to recouperate after an exausting hair cut.

Checking in. All is well on my trip. Have a bad cold, so the only thing I’m drinking is DayQuil cold medicine. Seriously though, my friends had their one beer for happy hour last night, I had club soda and cranberry. Hope all have a great Sunday!

I don't mean any disrespect to all our members from Serbia, but I'm obviously holding thumbs for Kevin Anderson. He hasn't had a good start though with Djokovic having easily taken the 1st set. Here's hoping he gets his game on soon.

I drank Friday night, then continued yesterday with the intention of buying more, only it wouldn't stay down. I kept throwing up, then finally "DING DING DING, HEY DUMMY!" I think someone was trying to tell me something....
New day one...I'll be busy catching up on all the crap I should've done yesterday, but I'll check back in later.
I'd like to share this before I go: I just did a Heart Chakra meditation + an Oracle card about "Wisdom" and this was part of the reading for today:
Inspiration: "Is there some wise counsel that you have sought, only to ignore it? Are you trying to do things alone? A solution may come from those more experienced than yourself. Stay in the present moment and do not let your thoughts jump ahead."
