Checking in at 120

Just wanted to check in. I still read here frequently and love to read success stories. When I made the decision to cut alcohol out of my life, 120 days ago, I couldn't imagine stopping for a week, let alone 17 weeks.

The withdrawal is still fresh in my mind - a place I never want to return to. It was pretty bad, even with prescription meds to assist.

I don't think I could have done it without SR. There is so much wisdom here from people who have walked the walk. So many people willing to share advice and experiences without judgement is one of the many things that makes this place so amazing.

Way to go! I think it's good that you still vividly remember your withdrawal, no opportunity to romanticize the past.
