I wanna drink
don't do it......do not purchase alcohol or go where they sell it. get some food in ya, think about heading to an AA meeting, go home and start that decluttering project, keep posting here. don't drink, no matter what. the feeling you have right now is TEMPORARY, it will pass.
I second the idea of eating something!
Just set your course for home and do something nice for yourself once you get there. Maybe a nice bath? Popcorn and a movie? Paint your toenails? Something.

I feel that way on weekends but keep in mind the reason I stopped drinking in the first place. Cravings and urges are temporary and will pass.
Try keeping a daily journal. List all the reasons you'd chosen to stop drinking then each day write about what you saw, heard, places you've walked or driven and how you felt..etc.
Read back through it each week or anytime you get urges to drink and could also help with identifying triggers.
Best wishes.

keep in mind ...
its the 1st drink that gets us drunk not the 20th
we cant get drunk without that 1st drink
our choice is between miserable unhappy drunken drinking and all the consequences
or
not taking 1 drink
God bless

So glad you posted here. Diving into a project sounds like a good idea, go get some sparkling water, or another refreshing drink, and make yourself your favorite food.
Go to a meeting if you think it would be helpful, go for a walk, post here, anything to pass that craving, because it will pass. Play that tape through, you can do this.

I really had to work a solid plan to get some days behind me before the 'want to drink(s)' lessened. Like a couple months,no matter what. There were still some days after that, where "a drink or two" sounded nice, but the more distance I put between myself and another 'day 1',those thoughts lessened. Sounds like you need to kick your plan(s) up some more. Did you drink the other day when you said you felt like you wanted to drink?
