Itís little things like you describe that started making me feel so much better about myself. Sounds silly but the first thing I did was make the bed, and that led to cleaning and straightening the house, cooking fabulous meals, etc. even if I donít have time for everything, I make the bed every day! I also do at least one nice thing for myself and something for another person.

Eh it sure is...! I'm sorry I didn't reply to your last message, I fell flat on my face again and struggled to pick myself up. However, I also decided to give meetings another try. It's difficult with my anxiety and all, but going there and overcoming my fears gives me so much hope and confidence... Like you said - it's liberating

Remember with meetings: take what you need and leave the rest....meaning don't let anyone boss you around or make you share if you don't want to....listen....drink tea or coffee or water and enjoy....there is always a good laugh.

The house is a big thing for me. I feel so neglectful when it's a mess - which it is, quite a bit! Someone on here posted that two words summed up the effect of drinking on their life, Neglect and Procrastination. That really stuck with me. I just to care more for the little things. I hope I am cooking lovely meals too, one day!

No worries Snufs, it's really hard. Especially those first fews days after drinking for while. Good luck with the meetings. I'm hoping they will get a bit more comfortable too. It's really nerve racking at first. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow
