Screwed up and can't do this again I am sick of it, thought I was stronger but it's not the case, all of you new ones learn from my screw ups I wish each and everyone of you sobriety and happiness X
Awww Mummy - don't give up. Most of us here have had several attempts at sobriety. Pour the rest out and get right back to your sobriety. Cut the beast off now. Don't give it a strong foothold. You can do this. One day at a time.
You can do it again Mummy, and you need to for your kids. Get rid of any booze that you have and start over.
Don't give up, YOU learn from your mistakes and move on but you must keep trying! You clearly want/need this so badly and are so brave to do it. Realise that you feel like this because you slipped, now climb back on that wagon and try again. You CAN do this!
Hi Mummy,
It took me a while to finally get sobriety right as well. I am so glad I kept trying, because it is the best thing I have done for myself and my family.
You posted here today because you do still care. You want to be sober, and you can do this. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is ask for help. Have you considered intensive outpatient rehab, it might be what you need to get that initial 30/60/90 days. They can also help you come up with a plan to help you moving forward.
If you are drinking today, dump what's left and start again. If you aren't drinking, try going to s meeting, or spend some time on here really working on s recovery plan. You can do this, you deserve sobriety, and it is worth the difficult beginning days.
I hope to see you on here starting fresh again today.
❤️Delilah

When it comes to drinking, whenever I hit my low points, it turns out I was actually on the verge of a breakthrough of some kind. Why don't you stick around and make this yours? You can do it, we're here for you.
I thought I was stronger too.
Then one day I realized it's not about being stronger. It's about being better.
I wanted to be better so damn bad I just kept coming back to SR. Because that's where the people are who know how to get better.
We've all screwed up. That's why we're here. Come back to us. We have work to do.

This is hard, painful stuff, but life without you will be far harder for your kids. You can do this. This is your battle, and you can be strong enough to fight it. Please don't make it into a battle that your kids have to fight without a mother.
Hi Mummyto2
like other people have said this is a sprint not a marathon
Many of us have fallen a time or two before we got it right
I hope you decide to stick around, but even if you don't -look at what you've been doing to stay sober and ask yourself what else I can do.
Having a strong plan and a support base that you use when needed is invaluable

Hey Mummy--please, please don't give up. Get up and try again. It took me and so many others here many attempts before we finally achieved sustained sobriety. You are strong--I can tell from your helpful posts--and you can do this! Your kids need a sober mom. We need your wisdom here on SR, too. Keep going and I'm glad you came back to us. Don't give up. Don't give up.
hey Mummy,
took me many returns to drinking before i understood that my strength alone was not enough. I proved that to myself over and over but still didn't get it.
when i did, when i understood and accepted that, i could look for and add the various things that have given me ongoing sobriety.
there is really no mystery there, and is all available to you also.
