I'm in London's West End, the touristy bit today

One side of the road is blocked off which is why I could stand in the middle of it.

I'm glad badgerden is here now. I don't have to be the only one who doesn't understand all the French and Aussie and Brit and Scotland and Ireland words.

This thread is so global. Love you guys.

When I feel overwhelmed with too much to do I often look for five things for which I'm grateful. Mini-meditation.

Sometimes it even works.

I have to admit, I almost never think the solution is more people. Except you guys. You're pretty quiet and non-judgemental, though.

I love all the unique words! I teach English as a second language and I enjoy all the wonderful and confusing things about our language. My kids love their cousins from England and over the years they have enjoyed exchanging words and phrases with each other unique to their brands of English when we see them. Now that they are teens, the expressions exchanged have gotten a little more colorful!
Happy Tuesday. Looking forward to the World Cup today. I have not picked a favorite. I was backing Belgium for knocking out Brazil, but Vman is cheering for France...I might need to switch allegiance.
Not in good spirits today, will exercise and see if I can pull myself out of my glum mood. Today is my 19th wedding anniversary. Hubby is out of town for work. I will join him on Friday for a weekend get away. Need to get myself out of this slump.

I thought you guys might be interested in this unusual house. It's called the Tower House and is owned by Jimmy Page.

there was a piece about it in the Graun at the weekend, with some interior pictures:

Jimmy seems to like interesting places to live - he used to own Aleister Crowley's (British Occultist) old house at one time.

the downside is that Robbie Williams lives next door

Less than two hours before the beginning of the game.
I took a day off from my vacation bank to be home to watch that one!

I am not sure that Godsmack would want an old biffa like me watching them (with my ear defenders on) It might cramp tyeir style.
At least I have longish hair I suppose

It's true, this is Robbie's gaff. Looks like he is having some work done.

*gaff* *ear defenders*

I just ate a bunch of cookies waiting for my refrigerator. I bought them under the pretense I would give them to the delivery guys. I guess they get fewer!? Or none if they don't get here soon.

Oops sorry bim, ear defenders are those things people wear when they are operating loud machines and gaff is house, home, residence, crib etc

Canadian Koala/ Vman, Le Bleu will have my support tonight too.

PJ, sending positive vibes down under.
