GRILLED HALLOUMI REVIEW:
Very tasty. Not the kind of cheese you wolf down; it had so much flavor that I ate it slowly, bite by bite.
Dee, I didn’t hear an actual audible squeak, but I know exactly what you mean: there was a definite friction against my back teeth when I was chewing it.
I’d love to serve it at a party—it would be a big hit because it’s so unique!

Good to see you SurvivorK!
Sadly, here in Britain Halloumi is usually wrapped in plastic like pretty much every food we buy. It's a pet peeve of mine.
I think Tim-Tams made an appearance on Weekenders once before (as did Sao biscuits)
As Andy says the temperature has dropped a little. That didn't stop me from eating a Magnum (ice cream) in the park though.

Yeah...sorry about that.....a myth dispelled....they are scary as actually....no one in their right mind would go near one...they will claw your eyes out.
Now I have a desire to watch "Australia." I think I have it on DVD.
It's three hours long though, isn't it? I do remember the cows.
Funny about Koalas being mean and snarly.
I don't think the Canadian ones are. They seem pretty nice.

When I was a kid- we used to go o the yearly family holiday to a range of ancient mountains called The Grampians. We had stayed in one particularly lovely sopt...an old 'shack' (a holiday place made up of recylables) set waaay back from an old road- in natural green scrub. Very cold in winter, where the morning mist burns off to the sight of kangaroos appearing up through the ground mist- to disappear as they land.
One night we heard the most god awful din...very, very loud- akin to the noise the Tasmanian Devil makes. After about 5 minutes we heard an extremely loud bang on the tin roof- and the awful torturous moaning continued for some time.
The noise was 2 very large male Koalas fighting in a gum tree that had an overhang to the roof. These critters were the size of a very, very fat baby and not to be messed with- very large claws.

Since y'all have these great cheese shops, look for mizithra.
You cook some pasta, butter it generously(if you're serious you make brown butter) then liberally grate mizithra over the pasta. Some black pepper and you have the dish that Homer wanted to live on.

I have tried Mizithra, there is a Greek-Cypriot community in my borough where it is a popular choice. There are some strange grey and white things in the sky. I understand they are called clouds.
I went outside today....tho my depression fought hard to convince me not to. I went and visited 'friend'.....apparently from a species called 'human', a very difficult thing to do somedays....but it is a helluva lot better than the hell and oblivion of drinking.
Well done for getting up and going out PJ.
Somedays it seems so much easier to stay in a dark room but its not in the end...
Im pretty busy at the moment and letting things get on top of me.
My wife said to me one time about it being the best time to slow down when we have way too much in front of us... and feel like we need to speed up.
Time to breathe !
(in for 4 seconds, block for 4 seconds, out
Is there a match on this evening involving FRANCE ?
Hope you are all doing well today !

morning all. much cooler today thankfully, although it looks like the heat will be back later in the week.
glad you were able to get out PJ. I'm not the most sociable of people & I often find it an effort to interact with others, even when I know I'll feel better for doing so.
here's an old Zen saying for you Vinny:

here's an old Zen saying for you Vinny:
You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day
unless you're too busy
then you should sit for an hour.
