Kathy,
I wrote your name and quickly realized how stuck for words I am. I am truly upset and in shock but also glad that you've been able to share this with us. So many people here are rallying around you. No matter the outcome, I wish for you to have the path in this that you choose. I will pray and light a candles. Hugs.
Mark.

Gilmer aka Kathy (hope that made you smile)....you are very loved here, your faith has always been an inspiration to me and I am sending out my best prayers that God will hold your hand through this. however this unfolds.
Your life has meant something. To each of us, just knowing you has made a great difference. My mother used to say "If, when you die, the world is a better place in even some small way, because you lived...then you have lived well."
You have lived well, Gilmer, and I am rooting for more quality time for you and am grateful for all the light you have shone on my life.
Hugs from my heart to yours.

Oh Gilmer,
You are the classiest, most awesome, kind woman I know! Although I've known about your (and my) waiting for the news, it is still a shock and I'm sure to you, more than anyone. Gilmer, we PM'd and if you need anything, please let me know. Ever since day 1 practically, 5 years ago, I met you on line and really admired you and felt the same when I came back. I love you and am praying daily for you. All my love, Aly ♥♥♥

Kathy, I was very heartbroken when I first read your news yesterday. I've lost too many family and friends to cancer. My whole life I was frightened by the notion of death. Not just mine, but others around me. When I watched my Dad pass away in 2014, the way he handled it with grace and dignity taught me a valuable lesson. Something profoundly changed deep inside of me. I no longer fear death, but simply see it as a necessary part of life. May the time you have left be filled with laughter, love and joy. You have many lessons to impart still.
I had to log in when I heard as I read through the thread it underscored what I wanted to say. You have always been such a shining example of kindness, grace and empathy to people in some of their darkest moments. Even in possibly your darkest moment you are still all of the above. Thank you for the gift you have given us.

I won’t give you any advice because I know you will make whatever decisions are best for you. I feel so very privileged to know you and to have met you. You are unfailingly supportive and I hope I can be supportive to you as you take this journey. Lots of love and many prayers.
