Thank you, Weev and Vinificent.
I asked God for my own special intentions for my destiny—but I conceded, “Thy will, not my will, be done.”
So I am now copacetic with either outcome, heaven or healing.
There are a lot of my friends who are also praying for healing.

Ok, films... how about an Italian film? You can find it with subtitles I'm sure- "Respiro" It takes place in Sicily and is the story of a woman suffering from bi-polar disorder. It is really a wonderful film.
Another one is Cinema Paradiso which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. It is the story of a young boy who gets taken under the wing of a local theatre operator. It is beautiful and you will SOB at the end.

Dearest Gil - I'm heartbroken at the news - will be praying for you & the family.
I've enjoyed our pm's recently - never imagined that you've been carrying this horrific weight. We love you and will be sharing this sorrow with you. I'm so glad you let us know what's happening.

Gilmer - past time that I said "Thank you" to you for your kind and welcoming posts to me, more than just clicking the "thanks" button.
Always appreciated.
Grace and peace to you.
This is Fernando Ortega singing just that:

I'm so sorry to hear about this Gilmer.
A very dear friend was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme in July of 2015, on her 45th birthday. Inoperable. Given 3-8 months.
I'm seeing her today for the 4th. She will eventually die from this...virtually nobody survives this cancer (brain cancer), but she has gotten FAR more time than anticipated. Her life is as close to normal as possible. We are meeting for a movie, dinner, and fireworks, which will tire her out, but not horribly.
Everyone has their own path. Hers has been chemo, radiation, a severe keto diet, and experimental head magnets. Her tumors have shown slight growth and we think this is the end (glio can double in size in a week), but so far they have more been hiccups.
She is living life as fully as possible....one day at a time.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Caramel, that was lovely. Thank you!
MindfulMan, I’m glad you’re still able to provide your friend with a good time. You sound like a great bucket list friend!
Mera, I have already seen “Cinema Paradiso” and liked it. I will look for “Respiro.” I’m always interested in seeing how true to my experience films depicting bipolar are.

Gilmer, after conventional treatment for cancer, my father was told a few years ago that he had just a few months left, that his cancer was terminal. He opted to undergo the experimental treatment path, instead of palliative care. Thank the powers that be, he’s still here and against all odds, in remission. Please consider any possible alternative treatment, if they won’t offer further conventional, Gilmer xx.

I am keeping my options open (this after I just told someone on another site no way for the existing experimental treatments).
If they have a new idea, I’ll consider it. The only trial so far that would be geographically feasible for me offers nothing beyond the hope for an extra couple of months, with side effects.
