Oh Gilmer. I'm not sure how ive managed yo miss this thread for the last few days. Such sad news to be reading Kathy.
You are showing us how to rock acceptance, and the difference that living in gratitude makes, and letting grace and love flow in and out and living in it's flow . As ever an inspiration to us here, you really are so precious.
Prayers, love, peace and blessing to you Kathy going out to you from here in the Isle of the Eels. Xxxx

I’m doing fine, Anna, thank you.
I am up in Central PA with my husband, kids, grandkids, and in-laws.
Not a bucket list trip for me, but very sentimental to my husband and kids.
My mother-in-law inherited her modest childhood home. It was built from wood by her great grandfather in 1889 and passed down to her great uncle, her parents, and then her.
My husband has fond memories of stopping in to visit his grandparents on his way to and from college. While there he always sat in the recliner and watched The Incredible Hulk on TV.
My in laws are now in their 80s. They would have liked to pass the house on to one of her kids, but all of them are settled in homes of their own—and, though my father in law has put a lot of work into modernizing the house and making it safe, it still is worth less than the cost it would take to maintain it.
Sentimental though the kids are, none of them are willing to take it on.
So my in laws are selling it.
This week is the last hurrah for the kids to come say goodbye to the house (and for me, perhaps my final visit with my in laws).

My husband and I lived in a 960 square foot home that was ordered through the Montgomery Ward catalog in 1896, brought to the homestead by train and assembled, (not built) in one spot and actually was disassembled moved and reassembled to where it now stands. No sentiment for me (which makes husband sad) I actually hoped it would burn to the ground,,,
Hope you have a peaceful good time though Kathy!

Gilly, I have decided to fill in the empty space in this post with a series of reeeeeee-
eeeeeeally bad elephant jokes. I will start with an introductory - then begin with the main works.
What do you call an elephant that does not matter?
Irrelephant
Why do elephants wear sneakers with yellow soles?
So you cannot see them when they float upside down in custard.
