378 Days Sober
My son and I were on a trip during my 365th day, so I didn't give it much thought. But, I made it a year...that year date was on my mind a lot for some reason, and I feel relief after getting past it. I went at it alone for the year (no AA or counseling...I read a lot of forums and such). I was watching an interview with Russell Brand a couple weeks ago...he said something that flicked a light on for me...this quote isn't exact, but he said "drugs and alcohol weren't a problem for me...life was my problem...drugs and alcohol were the solution to that problem". So now that I have a year under my belt, and have zero desire to drink, I'm going to figure out all of those little problems!! I am grateful that God gave me the strength to quit...very grateful.
