Greetings,

New member in search of direction.
Spouse is addicted to Prescription Opioids.
She says she can't get help or do anything about it. (part of the issue is no insurance or Medicaid)
But, she's also not even sure she wants help since according to her she "needs" it to care for me.
I, on the other hand, am dependent on her. Both as a "co-dependent" and physically as well since she is my caregiver due to my disability(s).
Anybody got any suggestions, or even which forum I should be in?

You could tell your story in the friends and family forum. I see lots of similar posts there and people dealing with the same thing. I think there is always help for those that want it badly enough. I hope she gets well soon <3

Welcome, mivohrs. I am sorry for sanatorium. Rings you here but am glad you found us.

There a couple of great Friends_Families forums here.

You will find support in the Newcomers Forum, too.

Again, welcome.

I'm sorry for your situation.

I think that, if your wife doesn't feel motivated and want to stop the opioids, it will be unlikely you can do much about it.
