A horrible day, I am grateful that I didn't reach for a drink to numb the pain, going to have a family day and a BBQ today

Some days are like that friend. Hang in there. We all know the booze seems like a solution, but it is the venom, not the anti venom. Family day and BBQ sound like good things. Perhaps focus on the little ones and the good eats. The adults sometimes turn BBQs into opportunities to indulge. Check in as you need it.

Stay sober enjoy your weekend and let next week take care of itself for now :)

Each time you resist the urge to drink, you get stronger and the desire to drink gets weaker. :) After a while, you won't even want to drink. :hug:

It's just me hubby and kids for BBQ, wouldn't invite others yet as they would expect booze, and I am not ready to face something like that yet, thank you
