Gilmer and 2muchpain, I have no doubt it’s a good decision to admit myself to a hospital, but unfortunately I still have to wait for this referral to go through. Probably a few weeks... there is a shortage of beds, so who knows. I’m seeing my doctor again in two weeks, hopefully I have more info then.

As for graduation, I know it’s supposed to be a big deal, but I just can’t do it. It’s too late anyway - you have to book tickets in advance, and I already emailed them I’m not attending the ceremony. I’d probably cry and drink if I was there by myself anyway. It happened at the degree show, seeing other people happy and celebrating with their friends and families made me mad and I drank. Yup, pathetic.
Please try to hang on till your referral goes through. Once it does, I hope you follow through and take advantage of it. There's nothing pathetic about your situation. The truth is, you are dealing with a lot of pain. That's real and nothing pathetic about it. Also, the truth is there are many people that feel as alone as you do. We live in a world where making connections is tough. I spent my road trip pretty much alone. Most of the people I saw were as couples or in groups, but you know what? I saw many people like me alone and going about doing their thing and having a good day. I read the other day where more and more people are traveling solo. Many because they have nobody to travel with them. People's mindsets are changing. Many people are seeing that they can have fulfilling lives doing their own thing. I think being ok with being you is the key. John

Last thing and I'll stop. One thing about traveling alone is that you are more tuned into what's going on around you. I saw many couples and families arguing with each other. They were definitely not having a good time.
I remember when I got divorced, how many of my closest friends would come to me and tell me how miserable they were in their relationships, when on the outside, they all seemed so happy. Some actually told me they wished they were in my situation. Things are not always what they seem. Always look for healthy relationships, but don't think they are as common as you might think. You might be in a better situation than you think. John

Thank you John. I've always been in relationships, so suddenly finding myself alone for the first time is a challenge, but I'm not in the right state of mind to be with anyone. And it's OK...

I need space and time to heal, to get better, to figure myself out.

Best. Morning. Ever!!!!!!!

You guys rock! I’m literally in tears right now, thank you all so much... You made this crazy person very happy.

I’m not feeling well today, my last binge left my stomach and liver overwhelmed and I’m still in bed squirming in pain, but I’m gonna try to make it a nice day... lots of yummy food, a walk to the beach and Netflix with my kitty. And, of course SR party

I could try to start doodling today too...
