Weekender Thread 28th June to 2nd July 2018
I hope the steroid does the trick Leigh.
VMan congratulations on 4 months, that's fantastic!
I see Brazil won. I always like to see Brazil do well..
I have had a long and frustrating day today and I have decided to walk home as the heatwave continues and the underground trains are unbearable. Additionally I need to shift a couple of inches/50mm from the Saoutchik waistline. I am feeling old, dirty and incapable but never mind, it is the last leg of my working day.

I LOVE the Underwear TEam Spirit CKoala! Hilarious.
Saoutchik...walking is a great way to end a frustrating day. Bring some water to manage the heat.
Chores all done. I am starting to feel like a domestic goddess with my increasing speed at getting these things done. Basement ready for my daughter's friends to come over and play Dungeon's and Dragons. I cannot believe anyone is still playing that game, let alone my own daughter. My husband and I tease her about it, but she is her own kid and never too cool for anything. She is so different than both of us growing up. Any how... I am ready for game 2 and then I will head to the gym.

Is their a July 4th thread? Here in the US, it is a big holiday, big drinking holiday. I did not make it through the last holiday weekend, determined to this one. The reason why? I drink when I get anxious and around people, and around drinking, it's everywhere I go. Need to find a safe place, and then once I start I can't stop. I feel less than and alcohol makes me feel fun and alive, for a second, and then the cycle starts.
I want this holiday to be different. Hello to all! I haven't been on in a while, ashamed and sad to repost. Sorry to hear of your frustrations MantaLady, a recovery facility should not be like that. I never experienced that. Keep on fighting and get healthier for yourself!

Welcome to Weekenders SurvivorK!
I expect a lot of people will be feeling the same way as you are SK. This thread refereshes/renews every Thursday - early if you are in North America and will definitely be there for people affected by 4th July celebrations. Here and SR in general has a lot of good advice on how stay sober during public holidays (today is the Canada Day holiday). You can do it.
Belgium have woken up in the football. 2-2
