Sounds great. I love yoga but can't make classes now so might try that too ☺

Thanks for the re-inspiration. I bought all the yoga stuff in January when I was inspired. It sits in a corner collecting dust bunnies.
I did it for a week. Was really having fun. But quit. Maybe we can support/encourage eachother?!

PM me if you find some good online resources. I've been meditating (and loving it) and I've been wanting to try yoga.

That's how I started! I didn't want to go public so to speak, til I'd gotten the hang of basics. After maybe three months I joined a studio and found that the engagement of a different instructor and various plans was the best next step!

Hope you love it!

Always wanted to try it, as it looks so good, I am sure I have a DVD somewhere that I bought, I will have to look for that as well

Great idea! I was doing a gentle YouTube pilates/yoga routine a few times a week before bed a while back and it was really good. Unfortunately I got out of the habit. Maybe this is the motivation I need to get started again myself😊 best of luck!

Good for you! I've been wanting to try yoga forever (I did it years ago at a beginner level), but all the resources tend to overwhelm me a bit. Let us know if you find a good online "starter kit!"

I started with sarahbethyoga on youtube. Various levels with instructions sprinkled in to make sure I didn’t inadvertently wrench something. Also, not too much of the meditative stuff that, while I think it is valuable, is something that doesn’t come easy for me.
I now also use fiveparksyoga which I find to be more challenging since I’ve gotten stronger. Both are free on youtube, without even signing in (no account here, whatever that entails). I keep going back to the same instructors/practices as I notice progress over time that way.
As for investment, my 8$ yoga mat is about it.
I know it isn’t for everyone, but I’ve gotten in the habit of 30 minutes to an hour daily. It’s helped with my aging aches and pains, and I feel it helps my mood as well. I can choose a workout to suit what I need for the day.

Congratulations on your new job! I studied French too and it's not an easy language to get the hang of so I'm totally in awe of you not only attending the interview but ace-ing it!

There are so many different types of yoga out there that I'm sure that you'll find one that you enjoy If you decide on Hatha I can thoroughly recommend the following book:

Congrats on the job! I'm a yoga master with the child's pose being my only position.
