It's Friday.. Trying to shut my AV up.
5 days no alcohol, no cigarettes! But it's Friday, and that is a major trigger for me. Anyone else need to shut up their AV with me? Come on in!
Going to add: so far, I'm trying to remind myself the night sweats have finally ended, as well as the night time hallucinations, and going to bed without alcohol is finally not scary! Anyone else feeling their cravings and/or AV creeping up for the weekend?

Yes, I'm on day 31 and AV was a killer tonight (and I'm home alone until Tuesday).
But I've stayed strong k owing it's the addiction talking and I'm determined to stay strong.
This is hard isn't it? But we can be strong and support each other here at SR.

I gave up trying to shut my AV up. I find it's easier to control what I hear than it is to control what it says.

Oh I am hearing it big time tonight. I am home alone, husband is in Calif. seeing his mom and got written up at work even though I made steps to cover my ass on this particular incident making notes on who I called for this error. Working for a corporate establishment really sucks. I miss working for a Union property.
Anyway, if anyone has seen Airplane when the pilot says periodically, "I picked a bad week to stop....." that was the first thought in my head. This was a bad month I picked to stop drinking!!! Not really but that's the way I felt.
So I am home looking for a scary movie to watch and eating popcorn.
Need to find a new job!!!
