Crazy to think about...

Wrapping up day 10.. obviously not 100% symptom and temptation free, but feeling well and confident all things considered.

10 Days isn’t far on the grand scheme, but for me, it’s really a perspective to think about how shocking our behavior can be.

I have been a functioning alcoholic who was having about a fifth of cheap vodka spread throughout the day in the later end of my problem drinking. It became such a “normal” part of my life, but when you see things like: “the CDC defines heavy drinking as no more than 4 drinks/night AND no more than 14 drinks/week”... and you realize that a fifth is 17 drinks, and that was being had per day.... you do that over a course of a week and that’s 120...

120!!!!!

I never want to go back to that place 😱

I think about this kind of thing all the time! Truly horrifying. And a great reminder, thanks :)

Ten days is a good start! Keep going, it gets better. :)

Hi BITL - you are doing great - 10 days is fabulous. Things will keep getting better - you are free. :)

It's amazing that we somehow justified pouring all that poison into our systems. I told myself it was helping me cope. It was doing just the opposite. Congratulations on your success!

10 days is better than 9...and 11 will be better than 10 tomorrow. Soon, you will forget the count, unless it’s a milestone date. :)

BITL - Congratulations on 10 days!

That's a "sobering" way to look at things.
