Glad the dealing with family photos is more of enjoyable task for you, Gilmer.
I had to destroy most photos of my birth family to keep the past as far away from me as possible so it doesn't mess up with my life any longer.
The very few I have left I sealed in the box and put out of sight.
I can't even look at my own childhood photos - it feels like time gate gets open and pain is flooding over me.

Yes....thought I'd see if I could beat Gilmer out of bed this morning....ha...up at 3.30, it is now 5. Sigh, not good at sleeping in a bed with someone...I wake up all the time and by the third time I cannot go back to sleep....I will get better at this I guess.
Welcome newbies !!
Gilmer, midnight, saoutchik, MB, Vman, venuscat, soberleigh, anyone else I missed-(on iPhone). Herro!
I made It through the evening, now on to the day at 0420 in Illinois. We never got that huge storm from Iowa. 😬
Going to start my day by driving 30 minutes home north to put my hanging pots in buckets of water ( in case BF ‘forgets to come over’).
It really works if you accidentally let them get to dry. Just soak overnight, dead head, and hang them back up😍
I wish all of you sobriety with momentum today.
Later,

But the humidity is 95%....awful outside....but it's finally changing today (we have had weeks of this) and it will be 50% by about 10am....yey.....
Morning Free....I accidentally drowned a brand new hydrangea last week....never seen anything like it....no matter what I did it wouldn't come back. It is very very dead now and I have a new one....I am hopeless.
And SURE Gilmer.......

Plants and me must have some bad blood.
They just can't survive at my place.
Though to be honest I never tried too hard. More like "If you don't survive it's your problem".

Gilmer, getting those pics scanned is also a good security backstop in case of flood, fire or similar- unlikely to be needed but you never know.
I have not left my flat since Tuesday evening but I will have to go out this morning for supplies. The fridge door was open and some limp salad vegetables and myself spent a minute or so staring at each other with mutual contempt.

The weekend is about to begin, only one more day to work!
Only a year and a half ago, Fridays were the signal for a total party (read complete self destruction) beginning as soon as possible after work.
I was always making sure I had nothing else on schedule on Saturdays but sleep to cure the huge hang over coming up.
Most of these Fridays I was also sniffing chemical powders they sell in bars to keep me awake and get drunk longer.
That massive amount of alcohol and drugs was always bringing me in a state between life and death for the next 36 hours.
That was happening every single week-end.
I'm talking about this today just to remember from where I come from and how much pain I had to go through before getting sober.
I'm very grateful to be part of your "Weekender 14-18 June 2018" group

I'm sorry, Saou. I laughed out loud at that. The "mutual contempt" part. My sides hurt right now.
