Never tried hulla hoop, it looks hard to keep the ring from falling on the floor...

Is it what Dragon posted you're talking about Gilmer?
Never saw this before tonight.
Better be in good shape for that one too!

Have a good night weekenders, this is it for me today

Successful art show trip. I took some pics. I'm barely still awake.

I dodged that $1,000 artsy bathroom sink - for now.

The blue one. The image doesn't really do it justice...g'nite. That's all the energy I have right now...maybe more pics tomorrow.

Yes, CK. Dragon’s video was exactly it. It was from the mid-60s

Great day hiking up in the mountains. Was about 30 degrees cooler than Vegas. Stopped at local supermarket on way home to get some steaks. Young girl offered me a free sample of wine. Smiled and said no thanks. Hope you all are having a great weekend

Made it through Friday and Saturday night...even with time at the hockey rink which is often a drinking opportunity. That was no problem. I was starving though...had trouble not getting something bad too eat at the snack bar. Managed to resist. Diet/exercise/ and sobriety go together but can make a day FULL of cravings. Have to pack some healthy snacks next time I know dinner will be delayed. Lots of fun stuff going on in this thread! I LOVE the sink Bimini Blue! Full day tomorrow...church choir, father's day and yes...more hockey try outs. So should be a snap wrapping up this weekend sober, could not manage it all if I were drinking!

Morning Trach, MB, lisaJane.

Very true LJ about being part of the sober majority. I found it was a little difficult at first.
We get sober we join the normal sober majority. There are no medals for it. But don't it feel damn good beating your mental obsession with drink and drugs. To experience life as it was supposed to be experienced. To be respected by your loved ones and to have some self respect....

The sober majority rocks

And I just wanted to say it's really important to me to be able to come to the weekender everyday and say Hi. You guys mean a lot to me.

SR is more than a tool in my sober toolbox.
It's like the cordless drill sitting beside the toolbox. Just got to keep it charged.
(those lithium batteries....)

It's father's day in France.
I got the best presents (below) and we are going to do something special today.

See you all tonight.

Honestly, I can't wait to get to the dentist (my appointment is on Tuesday) because I just can't eat properly.

On the other side I am terrified because the tooth is in very bad shape and the bill is going to be substantial.

But I am sober. I have a little emergency find to take care of, at least, immediate fix for my tooth.

I have my boxing.

And I am a freaking warrior!

No freaking self-pity any more! Sick of it.

Self-compassion? Yes!

Self-pity? No!

And the practice to learn the difference.
