Hello brothers

I am new to this recovery process and looking for support and advice from successful people in recovery
About me I am 39 male and heavy drinker for 15 years. At my peak I was at 24 to 28 beers a day. It cost me my marriage and landed me in the hospital. I am now 28 days without a drink and feel better than ever.. I never have a craving and feel honestly that I owe it all to god. I have noticed since day three that my lymph glands in my neck are slightly swollen. Is this normal?

Welcome!
I am no doctor, so I am unable to give an opinion on your lymph nodes. But YAYAYA, 28 days, that is so fantastic!!!!

Do you have a recovery plan to remain sober and start to heal?

What have you done so far to remain sober?

There are a ton of people here from day 1 to, I am sure well over 30 years!

Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment.

I would recommend establishing a primary doctor if you don't have one and get blood work done to make sure you haven't done any damage to anything. I wish you the best of luck in success on your journey, it's worth it!

G’day B, welcome! I’m very similar to you, except 47yo and I haven’t got a sober day down yet. 28 days... awesome man!! Well done.

As others mentioned, do you have any tips/ a plan you could share??

Welcome Bflash711

I've been told by doctors that inflamed lymph nodes can happen when we're run down or ill - or recovering from years of self abuse...

but the only way to know for sure if everything's ok is to see your Dr
