I am late, but in.
Going on a retreat this weekend with women from my AA club. It's out of my comfort zone, as I'm a bit of an introvert and I'll be sharing a cabin, but I think it will be good for me. If I managed a trip to a yoga retreat in Bali last summer and knew no one before I got there, I can do this, right? I actually know these ladies. I've just been so busy lately that my house is a disaster and I could have used this weekend at home to catch up. I almost backed out of the retreat, but that's behavior from the past and I keep my commitments these days. I'm sure it will be lovely.
To anyone struggling with sobriety, job, or family - Hang in there. Nothing lasts forever.

I don't have any plans over the weekend despite it having been my birthday today as I am suffering terribly with constant pregnancy nausea so I'll be getting plenty of rest and trying to eat little and often 🤢🤢🤢

Hello folks, Great posts from all of you. Friday and Saturday are typically hard fir me as I generally sip beers on one of these days.
Hopefully I can stay dry this weekend. Day 13 for me today and things are okay for now. There is slight AV buzz going on after lunch but I guess I can manage.
My mantra - "I don't need it, I don't want it, I don't desire it". These cravings are powerless. Without us taking any action, they can only come and go. Beer is not my go-to friend since it has never helped me. Maybe it has in few situations, but it has caused more damage than any real help. Stay strong, folks!

Praying we don't float away tonight. It's been raining for ages, like I truly cannot remember the last rain-less day. Today we got 6 inches in 2 hours. Flash floods, mudslides, people being dumb and going tubing down the river, can't say it's been boring. Thankful to be dry and safe and with power as another storm session begins, supposedly to end in 4 hours. Tomorrow will be a cleanup day at the state park I work at, our beach is apparently a disaster zone.

That is a lot of rain GBV. We get similar deluges here at times- and there is always some silly people who decide to drive thru a rapidly rising creek..to get stuck and needing to be rescued.
Friday arvo here. Planning a meeting for both days, plus domestic stuff- cleaning, airing bedding etc, Plus catching up on some study..my counselor recommended a book on the environmental and cultural links to depression and anxiety. Also art stuff- got a book on using pastel- especially interested in oil pastels on black paper. Keep posting all.

Just checked my utilities bill online and for some reason my electricity bill is 6 times higher than it was last month! And this is considering that I was away for 1/3 of the month.

MNB- that is not right then, that bill..I do hope you will chase this up. You could always call one of those 'in your face' media current affairs shows- where they race up to nefarious looking types and stick a camera in their face.
