Are we sure it's Wednesday?
I'm having shrimp and grits for brunch ...I think I'll make some garlic sauteed zucchini and tomatoes with it.
I've been really wanting some good stone ground grits and I was pretty sure I could make them better myself than any restaurant. Turns out I'm right.
Mangoes and yogurt for dessert.

Ah, I just realized the date was from last weekend. Got it. I’ll be sure to join the new thread... thanks
Why not just have that yummy breakfast twice a week instead of 5 times? I help people with weight loss, and one of the things I always say is eat whatever you want: just don't eat too much. Moderation and balance, but in my diet the croissant stays in. Maybe once a week, twice if I am prepared to treadmill it off.
EDIT: Obviously this is not Midnight's regime...

Seriously though - I get so much joy from shopping, cooking and eating. It's a great sobriety hobby and so much healthier. Yesterday was my big grocery shop for the month and now I have too many choices!
The other day I wanted pizza. Haven't had pizza for years. I looked at all the frozen and deli choices, and none of them looked good. I'm going to have to learn to make my own. At my age. Problem is that flour goes bad before I can use even the smallest bag. I have to come up with a solution to that.
I make (used to anyway) lovely little pizzas on pita bread. Small ones, the whole thing, as in not split in half....add tomato paste cheese black olives salami pineapple...whatever you like....avocado and goat's cheese.
Yeah, I used to do those little pita pizzas. Problem with pitas is if I have a bag of them they're gone in a day and I can't afford those bread calories. They're expensive, too. Wheat and I have a love/hate relationship.
I'll probably end up getting one of those bake at home pizza dough things.
Or maybe I will do pita pizza. That sounds so much easier.

VMan beat me to the fishing quip. In Britain there is a famous old cookery book dating from 1860 something by a woman called Mrs Beeton that begins "Rabbit Stew, first catch your rabbit" Mrs Beeton was actually a single woman in her early 20's at the time but thought it wouldn't sell if people knew that. Sadly she died aged 28 (not of food poisoning)
I have almost given up eating meat, maybe once a month. With dairy I am like Venuscat. I try not to eat as much but no more fat free or "lite" except milk as I never liked the full fat stuff. Too old to change to almond milk now.
