Weekender Thread 02-06 AUGUST 2018

I'd like to welcome anyone new to SR and new to this thread.

Weekends can be a tough time, and that's what this thread is about - support.

We also share bits and pieces of our lives and the things that are important to us, or make us laugh..anything that makes the journey a little easier

If you've never jumped into a weekender thread before - no time like today...do it now!

SHOTGUN! It’s been a long time!

EDIT: Ok, now I can read what was actually posted!

That is an excellent and very encouraging quote. You always choose well, Dee!

I’m in!

Goodmorning from Scotland.
Signing in for a sober weekend. It'll be the first for along time.
Half of me is nervous as Friday evening = lots and lots of wine !!!

But really looking forward to having a weekend without a hangover and being able to do stuff with my children, instead of lying on the settee suffering.

I woke up at 12:30 AM and couldn't go back to sleep. Just like the old days, sitting here with hot chocolate and reading SR.

It's a good safe place when sleep is elusive.

Jump in, you say?

I'm a bit obsessed with bears this week.

Thank you so much andyh & Gilmer
It's good to be back ….. it's been a while.

Couldn't agree more biminiblue, SR is a good safe place to be.

My bear thing started on Monday at the zoo: one of the Grizzly bear twin boys was enjoying the summer but enjoying his pool more, chin in waterfall.

Then yesterday I bought a Ty stuffed bear and I'm oddly attached to it. It's the size of a human infant, and I believe my mama instinct is triggered!

Hi, BP2!

The earlessness of that bear kind of makes it look like a sloth, Bim.

To me that makes it cuter!

Wow, that is pretty cute!

And the sound is a lot less obnoxious than that of a human infant!

(Said the mother of five and grandmother of four).

I'm the father of one but would have to agree, especially when in the confines of an aeroplane.
