Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I feel more comfortable going down this route vs attending face to face support groups as it's so difficult admitting to this addiction let alone talk about it to other people.

Welcome, Kera; very glad that you joined us.
SR is a great place for support, encouragement and understanding.
You may want to consider joining an SR Class so that you can interact with others very new to seeking sobriety.

From my personal experience, with sobriety comes a lot of pain. You have to acknowledge the people you've hurt or let down. The poor decisions you've made. The hole you may have put yourself in.
Be active, tell your story when/if you are ready, and never be afraid to reach out.
