Am I being daft

I am aware you are not meds.

But I had a relapse (maybe e 1 litre vodka per day).

II also had litres of water each ay

Am I stupid and I'll still have to withdrawal??

I understand librium/diazemrp iis safest.

Thanks x

Withdrawal is possible if you drank alcohol regardless of what you drank with it. A liter of vodka a day for even one day is an extreme amount of alcohol to be drinking.

I'd suggest seeing a doctor if you've had bad withdrawals in the past.

hello stoprelapsing,

not meaning to be a butt, but...
the name, stoprelapsing ... stopthinkingaboutpinkelephants doesn't seem to be the 'ideal' name if i am trying to stop thinking about pink elephants?

transitioning thru a phase of name changes may be an option?

It's always a good idea to talk to your dr if you're concerned about withdrawals. He will be able to discuss medication with you, too.

In my experience it worked this way round:

0. Try everything that doesn't work
1. admittedpowerlessness,unmanageability

We take the steps to recover, not the other way around.

Thanks Gottalife,

I like your feedback.
In my post, I was suggesting that at step 0. 'stoprelapsing' may not be an effective 'name', and was suggesting a transition of names, changing from 'stoprelapsing' to names based on working the progression of the Steps, which you outlined very well.
