Day 1 is finally over - into day 2

Yesterday was horrible. I'm feeling much better but still not well enough to go out. My eyes don't seem to follow my head and I'm still groggy. Hope I'm better tomorrow otherwise I'll go see my doctor. By Friday I hope to feel well enough to work on my Sobriety Plan. What a horrible ride this is. If anything, it may have scared me straight.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, Sunflower. Good news that you're finished with Day 1 and beginning Day 2. Indeed Day 1s are horrible. I'm glad to hear that you're going to work on your sobriety plan.

Thank you. This day 1 was far worse than any other I've lived through but that's ok, it's gone now. Just looking forward to feeling better. All the wine glasses are in the garbage and beer bottles in the car ready to be returned and never come back.

"All the wine glasses are in the garbage"

Good point.

I had a good long stint of sobriety then read somewhere about guys having ONE shot of GOOD Scotch in their favorite glass.

I had a REALLY COOL whiskey glass and thought I could play the same as the normal guys. Didn't work.

So, again, getting rid of wine glasses, beer mugs, whiskey glasses is surprisingly important.
