Sobriety Quotes Journal

Folks, Good day! I would like to start a thread to collect inspirational / interesting quotes about drinking and sobriety. I believe this will help all of us to remember and keep us steadfast on the road to be alcohol free for the rest of our lives. These could be your own thoughts or from any famous speaker/book. Let me start with one:

You have a choice during recovery - living with minor temporary discomfort due to not drinking or living with shame, anger, tiredness and guilt the day after. Make your choice today!

And a little rhyme for you about where it all goes wrong!

The job is going sour,
The job is going broke,

Maybe not exactly sobriety related, but still very useful in my experience:

It will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, it’s not the end!

I had a professor say " Choose your rut carefully"

A patient once told me " You never have to remember the truth"

The devil whispered in my ear, "You're not strong enough to withstand the storm."
Today I whispered in the devil's ear, "I AM the storm."

Not very inspirational but "there's 56kcal in 25ml of vodka, tubs" helps me lol.

Again not exactly sobriety related, but still very interesting for us.
