Checking in
Hi All,
Just checking in 6 1/2 months today. Still doing 5 AA meetings a week reading, lots of yard work in this New York rainy weather.
I still have good and bad days but that’s life, there is still nothing better than waking up clear headed and knowing what you did the night before. Feeling blessed.

Kdon,
Agree.
I remember starting to drink routinely around 2 pm on Saturday. Passed out by 8 pm. Waking up Sunday knowing I was in trouble because sleep wasn't coming unless i drank that night.
We here know that drunk sleep is bad sleep as well. Folks would laugh at me on Monday morning.
Not any more.
We are the lucky ones to become self aware before the damage got worse than we could recover from.
While relapse looms, we are educated and no longer physically addicted.
Thanks.
