Good morning, Ghoster

Way to go, My Friend. Yeah, although I have 20 years and 9 months, I don't have anymore time in the program than you. All I have is one day, just like you. None of us is more sober than the other. We might have more experience just because we've had different situations come up and not drank at them, but we're all the same. I just don' t have words to tell you how happy I am for you that you're back on here this morning with the enthusiasm you're expressing with your new life. I know exactly what you mean when you say you were spoken to through another sober member in the meeting. You'll find that that just keeps happening with every meeting you attend. I call them moments of clarity. I'm not sure what you meant by sober tough talking sponsor. My sponsor was lovingly firm with me. Nowhere else had I had encountered the rigorous honesty required to get well from this disease, but she knew I wasn't going to make it unless she put it to me straight. You know, that Big Book doesn't have any loopholes in it. This disease is so cunning, baffling, and powerful, and as a drinker I minimized everything. By the grace of God, we have a way out. The steps taken as outlined in the Book removes the obsession to drink, it truly does. Thank you for sharing your own experience, strength, and hope with us this morning. You are in my prayers.

It's love!! I've connected with my Soul!
Stay in balance don't get drunk on sobriety!
I must heal slowly and mature at a patient healthy pace now!
Like so many have said 24 hours at a time!!
My pain has been my greatest teacher
Actually it's my greatest asset!!
There are challenges ahead most definitely!!
We all face them!!
We INSPIRE EACH OTHER!!
Expanding my comfort zone everyday!!
When God gets one of his kids attention there ain't no drink or drug or behaviour that can get anywhere near that experience!!
I gave it all over I let go and said please help me!!
God came right into my heart!!
This is real for me!!

And don't drink, no matter what. Go through whatever the world throws at you, not around. That is how you will learn to cope. Good days pass, bad days pass.

Way to go, Ghoster! Stay unwavering in your convictions. It's as simple as we want to make it, anything less is your AV talking to you. Ignore it when that happens. Truly a great road you are on!

Thanks soberfolks!!
I want it more than anything now!
Just got news of an opportunity for a job
Got to go register in the morning with an agency!!
Possible Monday start!
Phoned one of the loan creditors today bought some time!
I'm giving everything I've got because I have to, I need to, I want to!!
Self imposed crisis for sure!!
I blame no one else for my current problems!
I done it all single handedly to myself!
Same goes for recovery...
I ALONE MUST DO IT!!
BUT I CANNOT DO IT ALONE!!
I just read a great quote online...

Stay away from negative people
They have a problem for every solution!!

I'm now realising the psychic turbulence of early recovery!!
I'm in bed safe and sober but I've had a couple of major episodes of mental obsession attacks on my being.
I was once inspired by an oldtimer in AA who shared in a meeting that...
Grit and gumption are fundamental mindsets that need to be accessed/developed in order to maintain sobriety!!
Yep well today I had to surrender couple of times myself over to program actions to keep me safe whilst in the heat of battle!!
No big deal just some temporary discomfort then back to being me again!!
Afterall it's still real early!! Just entered day 6!!
