Greetings from out of the looniebin

They put me away for a year in the Looniebin ...they have something here like a group called recovery group but all it does is open up old wounds..I hope I can make friends here còs AA and this group is all .that can help me..didnt drink since 23 july 2017

Yes, friends here is a most excellent idea. Being alone is hard. Am I understanding that you've been in inpatient care for an extended time? You've probably got lots of "tips" for the rest of us! Welcome to SR. Do jump in and share as much as you like :-)

I found my time in the loonybin to be interesting and life-changing.

Be open-minded.

Be pleasant and cordial to everyone there, and you are bound to find someone to hang with.

Best of luck to you...I don't follow, nor will I follow, the AA program but I find the meetings pretty helpful still. It's a way to make sober friends and relate to other's who've been through the same stuff. You might consider finding a group you like.

Welcome Stephanie,

My time in the ER looniebin was one of the worst experience of my life I do feel for you.

Definitely follow Glimer's advice and be nice with everyone courteous and don't get agitated do all you can to get better and get out soon.

We are here 24/7 so post all you like we hope we can support each other.
