I have found feeling grateful isn’t nearly as effective as showing gratitude. Tonight I will be going to the local aa meeting to show my gratitude. I will try and contribute something that might help someone, if I am asked, to show my gratitude. I will put some money in the collection. I will stay after to talk to anyone who needs someone to talk to. I will give some one a lift home if they need it. I will do whatever I can to help the next suffering alcoholic I meet find recovery.

Then I will go home and show my gratitude to my family. Showing gratitude is a big deal in recovery.
