On this journey again!
Hi all,
I am new here - I have 36 days sober today and completed my third rehab program about a week ago. I had a bit over a year sober before relapsing in January and of course drinking was just as bad as it had been before... if not worse!! I lost my job and felt like a total and complete failure. The shame and embarrassment are going away bit by bit but I知 just incredibly grateful that I managed to make it back at all.
Sobriety is amazing but I知 just a typical alcoholic with no patience and I want things to feel great and better again right now! Ha if only it were that simple. One day at a freakin time, right?
Anyway happy to have found this forum and just wanted to say hello - hope everyone has a wonderful sober day.

Hi Oliver1 just a quick note to say well done and keep it up. I'm on 23 days myself with many previous attempts. I hope this is the big one and its permanent. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the support, everyone! Sometimes it feels like I am alone in this, so I知 glad to have found this site to turn to in those moments. No one truly gets it like fellow addicts - you are all an inspiration to me.

It's great to have you join us, Oliver. I felt lost and all alone until I came here. The encouragement & friendship is wonderful. Congrats on your 37 days. I'm so glad you got free.
