I relapsed but I'm back fighting
Hello everyone😀 I relapsed for a couple of months. I stupidly told myself i can have a couple and I would be ok but of course that can't happen. I'm a binge drinker on Thursday to Sunday when I'm not in work. Well last weekend I drank so much and had another black out. I woke up on Sunday and I vomited all day. I was so scared. It was then I made the decision that enough was enough. I finally feel like I am done. I wasted so many years to alcohol. So today is day 6 for me. I got through last night and I will get through tonight and tomorrow also. I've bad headaches since yesterday so I am going to relax and watch Netflix. I hope everyone is doing well
Welcome back Lola and congrats on day 6. It was very empowering for me to finally decide to be done for good with alcohol - i hope you feel the same way. Don't forget SR is here 24/7 if you feel you need some extra support.
Great decision, lola.
The worst is over now. I focused on good healthy food and a little ice cream. Netflix for sure, quiet instrumental classical music on Pandora. I watched the entire "Friends" series in early days. It still holds up as a great show.
Congrats on your week.

Hi Lola what does your recovery toolkit comprise of as you move forward in your sobriety?
I'm in meetings 3 times a week now I have a sponsor I'm on here I read daily recovery meditation and AA big book I phone other recovering addicts everyday.
If your addiction is anything like mine I need an extensive recovery toolkit!
That s why I ask!
Hope you stay in recovery and continue to grow as a sober human being!

Hi thanks everyone for your replies. I have been to three AA meetings and I see a counselor today. Last night was hard but I made it through and woke up today very happy with a clear head. The only thing annoying me is the headaches now. Yesterday I popped in to my sister in law normally we would have some drinks well she would have two bottles and I would drink close to a bottle of vodka and then black out. Yesterday I had sparkling water and then I left after an hour. I just have to break old habits. I'm really trying so hard today is day 7 and a bank holiday weekend here so I need to be good. My daughter has been poorly the past few days so I am going to take her to the emergency room to be checked over and then I think I will start to tackle my garden and begin to grow my vegetable patch . I hope everyone is doing well x
