Day 4
Day 4
Day 4 of sobriety. Today is Wednesday which used to be my "half day" in which I'd get off work earlier and drink as much as I possibly could.
Not anymore.
4 days of sobriety, 3 days of AA.
I am feeling really really scared that I will relapse. I am going to two AA meetings today because I'm that freaking scared.
For the past 4 days I've avoided bars, restaurants, even GROCERY STORES because I don't want to see the wine aisle.
Pleaseee just give me some support. I've basically been living in my house for 4 days and going to meetings because I'm so terrified of getting triggered and losing control.

It’s normal to be scared. It will pass with time. I to stayed close to home under a very Ridgid schedule in the beginning. You can do this and it will get better little by little. Try to be positive. It is a great thing your are doing and it will improve every aspect of your life. We are here for you.
Support given
A little fear is not a bad thing...but you gotta eat...
Well good going to meetings. Half of the reason I do meetings is to socialise...because for ME, isolating could lead to complacency, which is a fast track to relapse. If I did relapse...next time I die.
The fear subsides after a while...and it is natural to have it...turn it around and use that energy to assist you.

Hi bringmeback
there's always support here - you can make a plan for somethign liek going to the grocery store - if you can't go to one that doesn't sell alcohol, you can avoid the alcohol aisle and any liquor shops on the way home, even if you have to change your route a little. If you have a friend who knows your struggle you could ask them to ride shotgun.
You can do this - like PJ says you gotta eat
