Thank you forum members

My first post on this forum! I would like to say reading everyone's posts helps me to feel connected in this difficult journey. Can I stay in for the next 24 hours? I believe I can. Sounds like a baby step. But at least its a step in the right direction.

Hi Tapas, welcome! Like you I am a newbie and everyone here couldn't have been more friendly since I first posted a week ago. I am on Day 3 and without reading some of the experiences on here and advice I am not sure I would be able to say this.

Welcome..this site has been a HUGE part in my recovery. I wish I'd have listened a bit earlier,when I first joined,but I guess I 'had a bit more drinking to do' and life lessons to learn(I'm a grown man)..but..I have well over a year now with the help of these fine folks,some people I met in AA(court ordered) and family/friends..It's still weird when some friends come to me about their addiction issues,but they saw me change and 'want what I now have'...freedom.
