Day 2
So my second sober day is under way. I intended staying home and watching tv last night but my daughter decided to go out in another town so I was on driving duties which really helped.
Tonight she needs a lift as well. Because she isnt sure how she is getting home I am on stand by for the late night pick up.
Feeling focused and positive still. Just had a lovely bowl of carrott and coriander soup and am going to spend a peaceful hour or so resting and reading.
Have a good day all

Way to go, Cuckoo!
Sending you good thoughts and strength. You got this!
PS: Ohh carrott and coriander soup does sound lovely... I just had a can of coke and a buttered bagel lol. I seriously have to step up my cooking game

Cuckoo you sound in a great frame of mind and it's wonderful you can be reliable for your daughter so soon. As much as they are hard work getting back to mums-taxis duties was a great feeling for me.
Keep it going - roll on day 3! xxx

Keep going. Eat well, get sleep, do things you enjoy and enjoy all the benefits of being sober because they start almost the minute you put your last drink down!
I’m quite fancying a bowl of carrot and coriander soup myself, now.
