10 More Days

At midnight I’ll have exactly ten more days until I make it to my first year of sobriety!!!! And I’m posting from Las Vegas!!!
We come here every year for a big car show/race at the speedway & this will be my first time alcohol free. I’ll admit it has been a little uncomfortable since just about all of our friends, including my husband party hardy while they are here.
It was a real eye opener walking Fremont street tonight seeing what alcohol does through clear, sober eyes. At first I was judgmental & then I felt sad. People were so,so wasted. I thank God every day that I have gotten this far. I used to be one of those people.

Congratulations on your year Labatty! That's awesome. I went to LasVegas almost 20 years ago for our wedding anniversary. There was alcohol EVERYWHERE! The hotel knew it was our anniversary and there were a couple of bottles of champagne in our room. We wanted to maximize our visit and started out early in the morning. Folks were already in the casinos drinking and gambling. At the time we went, drinks were free. All you had to do was leave a tip when it was delivered. I even would have a bloody mary at 6:00 a.m.

I agree - Keep an eye on it! :grouphug:
